 Fabric Art ROCKS!

Fabric Art ROCKS!
Sculptures by Lise

Garden and home sculptures are constructed from wire armatures and then sculpted fabric that has been dipped in Paverpol a water based, decoration– and textile hardener.  This makes the sculptures weather and water proof. Some pieces are sculpted using various types of air dried clay to give a more defined realistic body feature then sealed with Paverpol.  They are then dressed with fabric dipped in Paverpol.
Rock faces are hand made air dried clay and sealed with Paverpol and dressed with fabric and painted to give a unique texture that appears like metal.

The ideas are unlimited!  You can dream it, I can create it for you or you can make your own at a workshop!

"First Dance" (sold)

was made using black Paverpol and Paverplast. The "bride" is dressed using relief decoration which is a wood fiber product that I treated with transparent Paverpol to give the airy nature of her dress.
A similar piece can be commissioned though no 2 pieces ever turn out exactly the same

"Sylvia the Blue Heron"

is my first Heron.  She is not for sale but I will take commissions to complete another one similar, smaller or even a different bird.  All I need is a photo to work with.  She can be viewed at Ellen's in my vendor display

Commissions are easy: have an idea, a picture I will create it for you!

Take a Workshop with a Difference

Picture
The difference; being mindful
Art is a wonderful way to get  in touch with the  present moment and I would like to use the workshop as  an opportunity for us to learn how to be more focused in the present.  By focusing  on art you will  practice how  to just be with your experience, notice and let go of judgments.  My hope is that you will have a stress free day, relax, learn and enjoy.  And at the end of the day you will go home with a finished sculpture.

Check out the workshop page for places and times.
