A great beginner project — no experience necessary!

In this workshop, you will create your own approximately 35 cm (14") sitting figure. Make a traditional sitting figure, or have some fun and turn your figure into a witch — the choice is yours!

You will learn how to build the armature using wire and tinfoil, shape your figure, and then bring it to life using fabric and Paverpol. You’ll also learn how to create and drape clothing to give your sculpture its own unique personality and style.

You will go home with a completed sculpture ready to paint once dry. You can finish the painting at home or come back on one of my open drop-in days for help with the finishing touches.

After your sculpture has fully cured for approximately two weeks, it can be placed outdoors in your garden.

Cost:     $135 (includes all supplies)
Date:     October 3, 2026
Time:    0900- 4:30
Place:    Chilliwack, BC

Open Studio  – Paint, Create & Finish

Come spend 4 hours in the studio working on your own project at your own pace.

Bring back a sculpture from one of my workshops and use the time to paint and finish your piece. Paints will be provided, along with a demonstration and guidance to help you bring out the texture and details in your sculpture.

Or, if you’re ready to explore your own ideas, bring along a sculpture project you would like to work on. I’ll be available to offer guidance and help you work through the creative and technical process.

Paints and painting demonstration are included.

This is an informal, creative studio time — a chance to finish a project, try something new, ask questions and enjoy creating alongside others.

Some previous Paverpol experience is recommended if you are working on your own sculpture project.

Additional Paverpol, fabric and other sculpture supplies will be available for purchase as needed.

This is a fun project, very similar to paper mache but you will be using tinfoil instead of paper and Paverpol instead of glue so they will be able to be outside and dress up your garden, or in the home on a mantle.  You will have the choice of   3 sandpipers or the Quail family, which will include mom and dad and a few baby's depending on timing.

All you need to bring is a piece of driftwood to put the birds on.

Heron or Canada Goose (this is appropriate for beginners)
or Rooster  (this is an option for those who have had previous experience)

These birdsare approx. 60 cm tall (note not the 4ft heron) and will make a great addition to your garden. This is a 1 and 1/2 day workshop so you will have the time to complete the finishing touches on the 2nd day without feeling exhausted or rushed. For the beginners you have a choice of either a heron or Canada goose, or just any goose. For those with previous experience you can choose to make a rooster.
This is a great project to learn to work with Paverpol and old t-shirts to create this fabulous outdoor or indoor sculpture!

Cost:     $245(including all supplies)

Private Workshops and Retreats

book your own workshop with friends

Bring a small group together for a fun and engaging creative experience. I can host 4–6 participants in my home, with the option to add lunch for an additional fee or you may bring your own. For larger groups, I’m happy to travel to your location.

Workshops can also include mindfulness and self-compassion practices to create a more meaningful and enriching experience. This may range from a brief mindfulness exercise at the beginning of the session to more in-depth practical guidance. As a Mindfulness Self Compassion teacher I have done weekend retreats in the past incorporating both art and the practice of Mindfulness and Self Compassion.

I can bring workshops to the lower mainland, Fraser Valley and the Shuswap/ Okanagan.
